However, collaboration primarily requires common interests, motivation, and enthusiasm, which are generated when the goals of each individual and their relationships are clear, shared, and reached.
Additionally, trusting one another requires a safe environment, which is provided when all parties are feeling safe and aiming at a common well-being. For instance, rather than counterproductively blame people, fix the process instead!
Indeed, ensuring each other of their good intentions naturally comes by empathically demonstrating fairness, honesty, and integrity, but also by respecting others’ values and accepting their differences.
In parallel, good communication, listening, and observation skills are needed to sense and convey the goals and purpose of the relationship.
All these values and skills deserve to be learned through daily practice and integration into our habits and processes.
Yet, since the core of collaboration remains a common interest and purpose, our next step will provide a summary of what sentient beings generally want, and why.
